Cycle lane Lake Idro & Valley del Chiese
Just a few metres from the campsite, begins an ideal route for cycling enthusiasts. The cycle path branches out into the Baitoni countryside: northwards, running alongside the River Chiese, and southwards, along the shores of Lake Idro.

Heading south takes you straight onto the Lake Idro cycle and footpath, a scenic route of around 10 km that runs the entire length of the lake’s western shore, linking Ponte Caffaro to the village of Idro (via Anfo). This route offers unique views right by the water’s edge and provides easy access to the majestic Rocca d'Anfo.

To the north lies the Valle del Chiese Cycle Route, which runs along the banks of the river for 20 km as far as Bondo. Designed for a leisurely cycle, this route is dotted with equipped picnic areas, drinking fountains and convenient refreshment stops. Along the way, you'll cross picturesque wooden footbridges and pass sites steeped in history, including the Rio Caino Ethnographic Trail, the Fontana Santa waterfalls, Forte Larino in Lardaro and the Austro-Hungarian monumental cemetery in Bondo.

The almost complete lack of elevation changes makes these cycle routes perfect for family outings, even with young children. During the flowering season, from mid-April to early June, the routes are transformed into a palette of colours. For those who haven't had their fill of cycling, we recommend continuing along the Val Rendena Cycle Route once you've completed the Valle del Chiese Cycle Route. Together, these lakeside and valley routes form a long itinerary of over 60 km, along which you can admire more than 600 species of flowers.
