Lake Idro is rich in fish such as pike, perch and char.
There are places with culinary traditions of great prestige in the vicinity, in addition to lake fish, the flour of Storo, a bright yellow corn flour that is transformed into the typical polenta carbonera with Spressa cheese and local salamini, deserves a mention.
Not far from Baitoni, you will also find the village of Bagolino with its famous Bagoss cheese.
The famous "bear radicchio" in oil, comes from the north in the direction of Val Rendena, the first sprout to grow in late spring. The flavor is reminiscent, especially when eaten raw, of that of wild radicchio.
The areas bordering Lake Idro are also rich in berries, mushrooms and mountain honey.
